Fun Family Session

I met this cute family in the Stockyards on probably one of the hottest evenings of the entire summer. Jonathan and Grace (who are almost exactly one year apart) are two of the busiest (and most adorable) little ones I’ve ever met. Just when we thought there was no way we were going to keep them still long enough for many more shots, their mom, in a stroke of pure genius, pulled out lollipops and those did the trick! Some of my favorite shots of the whole session are the ones of them enjoying their sweet treats. Their dad also saved the day for the grown-ups by disappearing for a bit and coming back with ice cold bottles of water. In the end, thanks to Jonathan and Grace’s superhero parents, the session was a success and none of us suffered from heat stroke. Thanks N Family, can’t wait to see y’all again!

College Senior {Cristen}

This gorgeous young lady is my best friend’s niece and is practically family to me, too. Cristen recently graduated from UNT and wanted to mark the occasion with some fun senior pictures (who says high school seniors get all the glory? Not me!) Believe me when I tell you that this girl is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I know her family is SO proud of amazing young lady she has become. And as if graduating from college weren’t exciting enough, she’s also getting married in October so there is much to celebrate! Cristen, I had a blast wandering around Fort Worth with your gorgeous self and am so excited for everything you’ve accomplished. I know your sweet Daddy is proud of you too and is smiling down from Heaven at you right now.

Ryder Turns One

I met this cute couple back before the apple of their eye, Ryder, arrived last summer. I had the privilege of not only shooting their maternity pictures, but also witnessing and capturing Ryder’s birth. I was thrilled when they asked me to take his first birthday pics and hope to see lots more of them in the coming years. Ryder was a total doll for the session, even though he wasn’t too sure about our idea of a pool side cake smash. I am a sucker for blue-eyed babies, and his are especially amazing. Happy Birthday sweet boy, see you again soon!

The Beautiful B Family

This is one of those adorable families that looks like they stepped right out of a magazine ad and yet another great example of what to wear to a family session. They’re all wearing different colors, but they coordinate perfectly. You’d think shooting a family with 3 little boys would be quite a challenge, but these cuties made my job really easy and are as well-behaved as they are handsome. I can’t help but share quite a few shots from this session, as I truly love them all!

Sweet Baby Cash

Remember my friend Tonia from a few posts ago? Well, this little cutie is her baby boy, Cash. He didn’t sleep long for us, but when he was snoozing away, we got some really sweet expressions and he rocked his first shoot. I didn’t realize until later how well the turquoise wrap matched his momma’s maternity pics and I just love these together. I can’t wait to watch this little guy grow and capture all his precious milestones along the way.

Meet my friend Noel and her gorgeous family. Noel and I went to high school together and have reconnected as so many people do, through Facebook. I was thrilled when she wanted to do an urban type of shoot in front of a rusty old building, I just love locations like this! Their bright outfits really popped and speaking of their clothes, this family is a great example of what to wear to a session. Noel said she found her daughter’s dress first and matched the rest from there. The result is perfection! Thanks R family for being such amazing models and I look forward to working with y’all again!

Baby Brynlee and Her Family

Itty bitty babies, oh how I love them. One of the best parts of this job is getting to snuggle sweet newborns…and then hand them back to their parents when they get cranky. Just kidding, I’ll snuggle them then too. Miss Brynlee was a total sweetie for our session, this little lady is adored by her family and there’s no doubting that when you see them with her. I look forward to watching her grow and capturing all her little milestones along the way.

Sassy Momma-to-be

This pretty soon-to-be momma is my friend, Tonia. She’s expecting her first baby in April, a little boy, and I was thrilled when she asked me to take her maternity pics. We had a lot of fun and luckily, she’s not mad at me for dragging her into a field where we both came out with our boots full of weeds. And yeah, the boots? They rock. This is Texas y’all, and that’s how we roll. I think the sunglasses add an especially sassy touch too, and if you knew Tonia, you’d know how completely appropriate that is.

Hi everyone and welcome to my shiny new blogsite! 2010 was a great year for my business and I am looking forward to seeing what 2011 has in store. I am making a few changes around here, so bear with me as I get all the links and gadgets up and running. Angie and I go way back (like 3rd grade back and no, we won’t be discussing how many years ago that was) so this was an extra special session for me. I saw these sweet kiddos come into the world and cannot believe how quickly (and how beautifully) they’re growing up. Love you Angie, Brian, Adair and River, thanks for letting me spend the afternoon with you and River, I think your smile is just perfect.
